Congratulations to alumni Nicolas Pigeon and Felix Cadieux-Fredette on winning the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League Championship!

Their Timmins Rock defeated the Soo Thunderbirds in 6 games.

Nicolas, a centre, had an exceptional regular season as well, leading the NOJHL with 107 points and 81 assists in 58 games.

Felix, a defenseman, had 31 points in 51 games and stepped up his game in the playoffs.

Both players are in their 3rd year with the Rock and have grown each year into top players for their team.

They followed similar paths to Timmins as they played together from 2018-2020 on CIHA U18 AAA. Felix also had an additional year in 2017-2018 with U15 AAA.

With their NOJHL Championship, the Rock now qualify for the Centennial Cup, which is the National Junior A Championship tournament. It will take place from May 11th-21st in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba.
