We are very proud to have Stanley Cup-winning coach and former Calgary Flames, Colorado Avalanche and Atlanta Thrashers Head Coach, Mr. Bob Hartley on the CIH Academy team. Bob has also coached in the Kontinental Hockey League. As Senior Hockey Advisor, Mr. Hartley is instrumental in developing our hockey program.
I believe that hockey and academics go hand-in-hand, and that excellence in both demands hard work, dedication, team spirit, and the best resources available.
CIH Academy strives to equip your children with the skills they need to succeed in school, in hockey, and in life. Whether they go on to play professional hockey or earn advanced degrees from prestigious universities and colleges, a hockey prep-school education from CIH Academy prepares them for the challenges that await them down the road.
In my experience as coach in the NHL, AHL and QMJHL, I’ve seen the difference that top-notch facilities and structured training programs can make in a player’s game. I also know that true success comes from within—from hard work, discipline, and commitment. CIH Academy works to develop the student-athletes’ physical hockey skills as well as their inner strengths, teaching all students about the necessity of dedication and teamwork in the pursuit of their goals.
The competitive hockey program at CIH Academy pairs pro-style facilities with a specialized training regimen designed to target the skills players need to succeed on the ice. Using advanced equipment and techniques like plyometrics, weight training, and on- and off-ice exercises, the Academy's trainers work to develop your children’s physical strength and mental strategy to give them an advantage on and off the ice.
The state-of-the-art Athletics and Events Centre provides a full-time training environment where student-athletes can train like the pros—and maximize their hockey potential. You’re entrusting us with what is most precious to you. We will take care of your children as if they were our own.
I am happy to serve as CIH Academy's Senior Hockey Advisor, and I look forward to seeing the development of the hockey stars—and upstanding young men and women—of tomorrow.
