Alum Weatherby Commits to University of North Dakota
11/17/2017Congratulations to Jasper Weatherby who has verbally committed to the University of North Dakota beginning in 2018-2019.
The University of North Dakota is a Division I hockey program playing in the National Collegiate Athletic Association(NCAA). Jasper joins a long list of alumni committed to Division I Men’s and Women’s hockey programs including Kohei Sato (University of New Hampshire, 2017-2018), Corson Green (University of New Hampshire, 2018-2019), Natalie Fraser (Robert Morris University, 2014-2015), Karleigh Scully (Syracuse University, 2015-2016), Nicole Dunbar (University of New Hampshire, 2016-2017), and Celine Tessier (Union College, 2016-2017). Current students Dylan Peterson and Donovan Sebrango have also verbally committed to Boston University starting in 2020-2021.Jasper, a forward from Oregon played two years at CIHA from 2012-2014, putting up 24 points in 58 games. Now standing at 6’4 and 215 pounds, his game has taken off playing Junior A in the British Columbia Hockey League and has resulted in him getting recruited by multiple NCAA colleges before deciding on North Dakota.
