On Sunday afternoon, the Toronto Maple Leafs recalled alum Semyon Der-Arguchintsev from the Toronto Marlies and he is now set to make his NHL debut against the Dallas Stars tonight

Semyon, or SDA as he is more commonly referred to in the hockey world has played NHL pre-season games over the last few years but has spent his entire pro career with the Marlies and the ECHL’s Newfoundland Growlers until tonight. The Toronto Maple Leafs are in Dallas to face the Stars at 8:30pm Eastern time.

SDA appears to be slotted into the 4th line and may see some action on the 2nd powerplay unit, which should give him a chance to showcase his high-end offensive talent. He currently has 18 points in 20 games in his 3rd season of professional hockey within the the Toronto Marlies.

SDA played two seasons at CIHA from 2014-2016, where he was a prolific scorer at the U15 AAA and U18 AAA level.
