As we enter into the holiday break, that means it’s time for the annual tradition of the McLeod Cup, an event that everyone circles on their calendars.

The McLeod Cup features staff and remaining students in a fun, but always competitive tournament. All participants are pooled together and the teams are drafted by the goalies, who were AC Dark, Sam Auger, William Talbot, Danny McGowan, Jordan Dumont, and Thomas Samborski.

Each team would play five 15 minute round robin games from the bluelines in and the top 4 would advance to the semi-finals.

The semi-finals would have Team Dumont vs Team McGowan and Team Talbot vs Team Samborski. Team Dumont would win a thrilling game in overtime to advance to the finals vs Team Samborski, who were underdogs in their matchup against Team Talbot.

Team Samborski and the underdogs would do it again as they upset the 1^st seed Team Dumont 5-4 in the finals.

It was the perfect way to cap off the first three and a half months of school by bringing the CIHA family together one last time in 2022 before the holiday break!
