Congratulations to alum Pavel Gogolev who has signed with Vasby IK in HockeyAllsvenskan, a tier two professional league in Sweden.
Pavel spent the last four years in the Ontario Hockey League with the Peterborough Petes and Guelph Storm and was eligible to return to Guelph for his final year, but has opted to continue developing in Sweden due to the uncertainty of the start of the OHL season.Pavel had a breakout season in 2019-2020 with Guelph, scoring 45 goals and 96 points with both being among the top scorers in the OHL. He was also ranked among North American Skaters for the 2020 NHL Entry Draft but was not selected.Pavel played one season at CIHA in 2015-2016 and led Hockey Eastern Ontario in goals with 38 and finished second in points with 68.
