05/15/2024

Congratulations to alum Lukas Landry, who captured the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League Championship with his Drummondville Voltigeurs!

Drummondville will now play for the Memorial Cup, which is the national championship for the three major junior leagues under the Canadian Hockey League. Joining them will be the winners of the Ontario Hockey League, Western Hockey League and the host team, the Saginaw Spirit. The Memorial Cup takes place from May 24th to June 2nd in Saginaw, Michigan.

Lukas, a 5’9 center in his second season with Drummondville played in 16 of his team’s 19 playoff games and scored 2 goals and 4 assists. In the regular season, he had 39 points across 68 games.

His first season in Drummondville saw him play in 56 games and adding 13 points. It was a special season for him as he was also a teammate of older brother and fellow CIHA alum, Manix Landry, who is also an Arizona Coyotes 5th round draft pick.

Lukas played one season at CIHA in 2019-2020, putting up 14 points in 28 games for U15 AAA. After that, he played two seasons in Switzerland to continue his development before joining Drummondville.

Congratulations again to Lukas and best of luck in the Memorial Cup!
