THREE ALUMNI SELECTED IN THE QMJHL DRAFT

Congratulations to alumni Etienne Morin, Lukas Landry and Dylan Reynolds, who were all selected in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Draft on June 26th.
Etienne was drafted by the Moncton Wildcats in the 2nd round, 21st overall, Lukas was selected in the 4th round, 69th overall by the Drummondville Voltigeurs and Dylan was taken by the Shawinigan Cataractes in the 8th round, 143rd overall.Etienne, a 6’0 defenseman from Valleyfield, Quebec, just completed his second season at CIHA. In his first year, Etienne played for U18 AAA White as an underage player and thrived against the older competition, putting up 22 points in 44 games. This year, Etienne would’ve played for our U17 Prep team but the season never got underway due to COVID-19. He did however get plenty of time on the ice and in the gym with weekly scrimmages daily workouts in our program.Lukas, a 5’7 forward from Gatineau, Quebec, also completed his second season at CIHA. In his first season, Lukas played for our U15 AAA team and scored 14 points in 28 games while also being named an assistant captain. This season, Lukas began the year playing in Switzerland for Ambri-Piotta U17 putting up 7 points in 6 games before joining us to continue his training.Dylan, a 5’8 forward from Wakefield, Quebec, played one season at CIHA in 2019-2020. He suited up as a teammate of Lukas for our U15 AAA squad, and put up 18 points in 27 games while also being named an assistant captain. Dylan also put up 6 points in 16 regular season games for U18 AAA Green and 1 point in 4 playoff games. This season, Dylan played in some exhibition games for Gatineau L’Intrépide, putting up 5 points in 9 games.Congratulations again to Etienne, Lukas and Dylan!
