THREE ALUMNI RANKED BY NHL CENTRAL SCOUTING FOR 2020 NHL DRAFT
01/15/2020Alumni Dylan Peterson, Donovan Sebrango and Pavel Gogolev have all been listed by NHL Central Scouting in their midterm rankings for the 2020 NHL Draft.
Dylan, who is ranked #34 among North American Skaters is enjoying a strong season with the U.S. National U18 team with 16 points in 32 games. He also has 8 points in 13 games for the Juniors in the U.S National Team Development Program.Dylan, a 6’4 forward with elite offensive skill played two seasons at CIHA from 2016-2018, compiling 94 points in 71 games. During his time at CIHA, Dylan committed to Boston University of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, where he will be a freshman next season. Donovan, who is ranked #59 among North American Skaters is in his 2nd season with the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League. The 6’0, two-way defenseman has 18 points in 35 games after putting up 26 points in 62 games last season.Donovan played three seasons at CIHA from 2015-2018, putting up 68 points in 90 games and forming a dynamic duo with Dylan at the Bantam AAA and Midget AAA level. Originally committed to Boston University, Donovan was then drafted 40th overall by Kitchener in 2018 and opted to go the Major Junior route to continue his development.Pavel, who is ranked #105 among North American Skaters has exploded in his 4th season in the OHL with the Guelph Storm, potting a league-leading 31 goals. He also has 66 points, which is good for 5th overall in scoring. The 6’1 sniper has had an up and down OHL career, topping 30 goals in 17-18 while running into some injury trouble the following season but also winning an OHL Championship with Guelph.Pavel played one season at CIHA in 2015-2016 but it was a memorable one as he led the league in goals with 38 and finished 2nd in points with 68 in 48 games.Pavel was ranked by the NHL Central Scouting for the 2018 and 2019 NHL Draft but was not selected. He attended the Detroit Red Wings Development Camp in the summer of 2018 and the Vegas Golden Knights Development Camp in 2019 so you know NHL teams are watching him closely.
