PAIR OF CIHA BANTAMS DRAFTED TO CCHL
04/11/2017Congratulations to CIHA Bantam forwards Jayden Baptise and Dylan Peterson who were drafted to the Central Canada Junior Hockey League (CCHL).
Baptiste, a 5’10 center, was selected 60th overall by the Nepean Raiders. A strong two-way player, Baptiste finished 3rd on his team in scoring with 18 points in 30 games while playing key minutes on the penalty kill and powerplay. Peterson, selected 85th overall by the Ottawa Jr. Senators is a 6’3 center who can dominate a game with his size and skill. He led all HEO Bantam scorers with 48 points in 29 games this past season. Peterson has committed to CIHA for the 17-18 season and will play for our Midget AAA team as he continues his development in preparation for joining Boston University in 2020. The Central Canada Hockey League (CCHL) is a Canadian Junior “A” ice hockey league operating in eastern Ontario, Canada.
