Alum Manix Landry Named to Team Canada for the Spengler Cup
12/23/2024Congratulations to alum Manix Landry who was named to the Team Canada roster for the Spengler Cup!
The Spengler Cup is often called the oldest invitational tournament in the world and will be held in Davos, Switzerland from December 26th-31st. It features 5 club teams from Europe along with Team Canada, mostly made up of Canadian players playing in Europe.
Manix, a 22 year old center is currently in his second season with HC Ambri-Piotta of the National League, which is Switzerland’s top professional league. He has 16 points in 31 games so far.
He played one season at CIHA in 2017-2018 and followed that up with 5 years in the Quebec Maritime Junior Hockey League.
He was drafted by the Arizona Coyotes in the 5th round, 139th overall in the 2021 NHL Draft but has yet to play a game in their system.
