Congratulations to alum Etienne Morin, who was selected to participate in Team Canada’s U18 Selection Camp!
Team Canada has named 44 players to their U18 Selection Camp, which takes place from July 20th-23rd in Calgary, Alberta. They will name the final roster on July 24th and the team will compete in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup from July 31st-Aug 6th in Red Deer, Alberta.Etienne has previous Hockey Canada experience as he played for their U17 team in the Capital City Challenge in November 2021.Etienne, a 5’11 defenseman played two seasons at CIHA from 2019-2021. In the 2019-2020 season, Etienne played a year up from his age group for U18 White AAA and had 24 points in 44 games, good for 3rd among rookie defensemen. The following season unfortunately had no games due to COVID.Etienne just completed a fantastic rookie season for the Moncton Wildcats, putting up 33 points in 64 games which broke a team record for most points by a 16 year old defenseman.
