Congratulations to alum Donovan Sebrango, who won the gold medal with Team Canada at the U20 World Junior Championship.
Team Canada defeated Finland 3-2 in overtime to secure the gold medal.Donovan played a key role throughout the tournament, being deployed on the top defensive pairing while getting plenty of time on the penalty kill as well. He finished the tournament with 2 assists and a +7 rating in 7 games. He was also named an assistant captain.This tournament was a reboot of the one normally held just after Christmas, which was cancelled after a few days due to COVID-19.Donovan, a 3rd round draft pick of the Detroit Red Wings in 2020 will now begin his preparations for training camp which will begin in a few weeks. He’s played the last two seasons with Detroit’s  AHL  affiliate, Grand Rapids, and will have his sights set on making the Red Wings full time.
