Alum Dylan Peterson Wins Hockey East Title; Set for NCAA Tournament

Congratulations to alum Dylan Peterson and his Boston University Terriers, who claimed the Hockey East tournament title!

They took down Vermont in the quarter-finals, Providence in the semi-finals and Merrimack in the finals in a thrilling overtime victory.

By winning the Hockey East title, Dylan and his Terriers receive an automatic berth in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Ice Hockey Championship Tournament. They are one of 16 teams who will compete over the next two weeks for the NCAA’s top team.

Their first game will be on March 23rd against Western Michigan. The format is single elimination and teams will play 4 games if they make it to the finals.

Dylan, a 6’4 center is in his 3rd season at Boston University and has put up 5 goals and 13 assists in 36 games. He was previously a part of the United States National Team Development program at the U17 and U18 level, and before that he had two dominant seasons at CIHA at the U15 and U18 AAA level.

At the 2020 NHL Draft, the St. Louis Blues selected Dylan in the 3rd round, 86th overall.
