As we enter into the holiday break, that means it’s time for the annual tradition of the McLeod Cup, an event that everyone circles on their calendars.

The McLeod Cup features staff and remaining students in a fun, but always competitive tournament. All participants are pooled together and the teams are drafted by the goalies, who were Sam Auger, Nikolai Medved, Noah Lachapelle, Justin Sosa, William Talbot, Matis Bureau-Morel, Maxime Giguere, and Fabio Nauer.

The game format would be triple knockout, where winning teams continue on but losing teams must earn their way back. Lose three games and you’re eliminated.

The finals featured Team Lachapelle vs Team Talbot, where they played a fiercely competitive game with Team Talbot the last group standing and your 2023 McLeod Cup winners!

It was the perfect way to cap off the first three and a half months of school by bringing the CIHA family together one last time in 2023 before the holiday break!
