For our final player spotlight, we focus on James Clarke.
James Clarke is from Leicester, England. He first started skating at the age of 6 and began playing hockey a few years later. After realizing that he wouldn’t have the opportunity to grow as a player in England, James began looking at schools in Canada and the United States. He visited CIHA and enrolled for the following year.  As a Varsity player, James had the chance to work on fundamental skills with Coach Alain Raymond. Over a year and a half, James worked hard on increasing his strength and speed to compensate for his smaller stature. Midway through his second season at CIHA, he was given the opportunity to train and play with the Minor Midget AAA team. Next season will be his third at CIHA as he will be in grade 11.  James will be playing for the Midget AAA team and is eager to showcase his skills. He will keep training hard this summer to be ready when he comes for the 2016-2017 school year.
