JAKE JURGENEIT – BLUELINE WARRIOR
10/18/2016Jake Jurgeneit, of Simcoe, Ontario, is the captain of the CIHA Midget Green AAA team.
In his second year at CIHA, Jake has continually demonstrated leadership on and off the ice and a drive to improve. Heavily recruited in his Minor Major year, Jake chose CIHA because he felt it would provide him with all the skills he wanted as a hockey player. A self-proclaimed stay-at-home defenseman, Jake breaks down plays well and uses his 6’1ft, 180lbs frame to its full advantage. To his defensive zone prowess, Jake adds a booming slap shot and a strong first pass to set up the team’s break-outs. He also quarter s the power play, setting the tone, with either a quick pass down-low or teeing up the one-timer. Jake also commits fully to his off-ice training, working out daily at the gym. A real “character player,” he can also be found volunteering at our multiple home games, providing music or filming. Over the last two years, Jake has matured and developed into an elite hockey player. He continues to push himself and feels he is ready for the CCHL and his end goal of playing NCAA Div I hockey.
