Jackson Parsons Drafted by Cornwall of CCHL

03/05/2019

Congratulations to CIHA Bantam goaltender Jackson Parsons, who was drafted in the 4th round, 30th overall by the Cornwall Colts of the Central Canada Hockey League Bantam Protect Draft.
Jackson was the 2nd goaltender taken in the draft, a testament to the high-level talent that he possesses.Jackson played in 25 games this season, the most of any HEO AAA Bantam goaltender. He had an 8-16-1 record with a 3.76 goals against average. While the numbers don’t stand out as elite when compared to his peers, Jackson was often the best player on ice and played a major role in every game he started. He also wore an “A”, being one the leaders on the youngest team.“This young man exudes every quality that a coach and organization would want on their team,” said Bantam Coach Travis Rycroft. “It has been an absolute pleasure to coach Jackson this year. He is a phenomenal goaltender and a wonderful kid and his attention to detail is something I have never observed from a 14 year old before. His preparation is unmatched for practice and games and has been the bone of our team this year. I am very proud of him and what he has accomplished. This young man will have a very successful hockey career and we look forward to watching him and his continued development.”
