The Canadian International Hockey Academy (CIHA) is pleased to announce that Dylan Peterson has verbally committed to the Boston University Terriers to play in 2020. A grade 9 student, Dylan has embraced CIHA`s philosophy of School.Hockey.Life and wants to continue his hockey and studies by attending university. 
At 6’2, 170 pounds, Dylan is an exceptional player that knew his best opportunity to prepare for university hockey was to attend an elite prep school. At CIHA, he immerses himself in an elite hockey environment, where he is coached daily by professional coaches. He also excels in the classroom, under the direction of teachers from Blyth Academy, a top Canadian private school.As Coach Travis Rycroft explains: “Dylan Peterson truly is a special kid. Dylan’s on-ice ability is without question incredible, however, couple that with his off-ice dedication and maturation level is something I personally have never observed from a 14-year-old before. To have the intestinal fortitude Dylan has at the age of 14 to continue to better himself both on and off the ice is very difficult to teach, so to have that naturally built within himself is such an important ingredient to not only succeed as a hockey player but also in life. Dylan has been nothing but a pleasure to coach.”Dylan, when asked about his decision to verbally commit to Boston University explained: “Boston University has a rich history of developing elite hockey players, with a strong coaching staff and top facilities. I know that they will help me reach my goals; if I went anywhere else, I know I would regret it.”Dylan plans to continue his education and training at CIH Academy as he knows that this is the best place for him to prepare for play in the NCAA.Founded in 2011, CIH Academy is Eastern Canada’s Premier Hockey Prep School. Its mandate is to prepare its student-athletes for life after graduation by developing leadership on and off the ice.
