Alum Jackson Parsons Selected by Kitchener Rangers in OHL Draft
04/05/2020Congratulations to alum Jackson Parsons, who was drafted in the 3rd round, 53rd overall by the Kitchener Rangers of the Ontario Hockey League.
Jackson was the third goalie taken in the OHL Priority Selection and joins alum and 2020 NHL Draft prospect Donovan Sebrango, who has been a part of the Rangers for two years.Jackson played one season at CIHA for the Major Bantam AAA squad in 2018-2019, posting an 8-16-1 record with a 3.96 goals against average. Jackson was often the best player on the ice for either team, facing a barrage of shots and keeping his team in games and even stealing a few victories. This season, Jackson played for the Cornwall Colts Midget AAA of Hockey Eastern Ontario and appeared in 23 games with a 9-11 record along with a 2.28 goals against average, a .929 save percentage and 3 shutouts. Fantastic numbers on a team that finished with a losing record. He also played in 3 games for the Char-Lan Rebels of the Central Canada Hockey League II, finishing with 2-0 record. Not only is Jackson a talented hockey player, he’s a great young man as well. This season, Jackson returned to CIHA to participate in our annual McLeod Cup and he also came out to support Midget Green in their run to the HEO Championship Game.Congratulations again Jackson! Wishing you the best of luck and looking forward to watching your development on and off the ice.
