ALUM GABRIEL VILARDI SHINES IN NHL DEBUT

02/21/2020

It was quite the NHL debut for Gabriel, scoring his first two points and setting an NHL record in the process!
On his first shift, just 1:26 into the game, Gabriel stepped over the Panther’s blueline and fired a shot past the goaltender for his 1st NHL goal! The goal was scored 6.8 seconds into his first NHL shift, setting an NHL record for fastest goal scored in a debut. Late in the 2nd period, Gabriel was at it again with a no look, behind the pass in front to pick up his 1st NHL assist as well. Gabriel was always praised for his two-way play and that certainly showed in his debut as he finished with a +2 rating and won 13/16 (81%) of his face-offs. He also had two shots in goal in 15:10 minutes of ice time, including 2:34 on the power-play. To cap things off, Gabriel was named the 1st star of the game after his near perfect NHL debut.
