Congratulations to alum Etienne Morin, who was one of 66 players named and will participate with one of three teams in the Capital City Challenge.
The Capital City Challenge is a four team tournament featuring three U17 men’s teams and the Canadian National Women’s team. This is part of the Women’s team centralized schedule as they prepare for the 2022 Olympic Games.Etienne, a 5’11 defenseman played two seasons at CIHA from 2019-2021. In the 2019-2020 season, Etienne played a year up from his age group for U18 White AAA and had 24 points in 44 games, good for 3rd among rookie defensemen. The following season unfortunately had no games due to COVID.In late June of this year, Etienne was drafted in the 2nd round, 21st overall by the Moncton Wildcats and is currently enjoying a great rookie season with 8 points in 14 games, which leads all defensemen on his team.
