October 11-14th

Midget White Tournament – Ottawa

Midget White was in Ottawa for their first tournament of the season, looking to build on a strong start to their regular season.

Not the start they were looking for, however, as they would fall to league rivals Nepean 4-0 on Thursday. In the first of two games on Friday morning, they bounced back and took down the Toronto Titans 4-2. Later on in the afternoon, they took on the Halifax McDonalds who got the best of them, falling 4-1. In a must win game on Sunday, Midget White just fell short, losing 2-0 to the Barrie Colts.

Goals were hard to come by over the weekend, with only 3 in 4 games. Artem Chernov (2g,1a) led the way while Patrick Maule (2g) and Bayley Harewood (1g, 1a) contributed to the offense as well.

The Bantam’s broke out in a big way on Friday night! These boys owned this game from start to finish, making up for a shortage of goals over their first few games. Marcus Krats (1g) and Igor Zborovskiy also scored, while Jackson Parsons got the win in goal.

Bantam (2)
Upper Canada (1)

After a goal-fest the night before, the Bantams would have just enough to get by. Goaltender Jackson Parsons was the star in this one, holding his team in right until the end. Callum Field (1g, 1a) and Mathieu Fehr (1g, 1a) provided the offense as the Bantams win their second in a row.

Midget AA (3)
Cumberland (6)

Playing their second game in two nights, the AA’s would fall behind a few goals and mount a comeback, but in the end just come up short. Derial Rupert (2g, 1a), Darius Mamianskum (1g, 1a) and Dov Reboh (2a) provided all the offense, while Tristan Falsetto played well but takes the loss.
