Dylan, a center from Roseville, California was one of 17 forwards named to the USA preliminary roster. They will begin training camp on December 12th in Plymouth, Michigan.

Dylan is currently in his second season for Boston University of the NCAA and is among his team’s leading scorers with 10 points in 14 games. He was drafted in the 3rd round, 86th overall by the St. Louis Blues in the 2020 NHL Draft.

Dylan and Donovan have followed similar paths ever since their time at CIHA. They played U15 AAA together and then on U18 AAA White the following year. They both committed to Boston University, however Donovan chose to play in the Ontario Hockey League and suited up for two seasons with the Kitchener Rangers. They were drafted 23 picks apart in 2020 and they even played a game against each other when they represented their countries for a U17 tournament in 2018.

Luca, who is a defenseman from Lustenau, Austria is one of 12 defenseman named to Austria’s preliminary roster.

Back in January, Luca was in the midst of his 2nd season at CIHA when he signed a professional contract with VEU Feldkirch of the Alps Hockey League, the 2nd highest division in Austria. He currently plays for the Fresno Monsters in the United States Premier Hockey League in the Premier Division and is second among defensemen on his team with 17 points in 20 games.

We want to wish Dylan, Donovan and Luca the best of luck as the compete for a spot to represent their country!
