In his first NHL game on Saturday night, alum Jasper Weatherby left no doubt about where he belongs.
Slotted in as the 4th line center, Jasper put up quite a stat line in his first NHL game. 1 goal, 1 assist (both on the power-play), 57% on faceoffs, 10:25 total time played and 3:59 on the power-play, which was part of a five-man unit including NHL stars Erik Karlsson and Tomas Hertl. He was also named the 2nd star of the game.
After participating in the Sharks rookie camp in August, management knew Jasper was ready to take that next step and signed him to his entry level contract. He impressed in training camp and won a spot as the Sharks 4th line center and the rest is history.
