Alum Autumn MacDougall Set to Compete for Isobel Cup

Autumn MacDougall and her Buffalo Beauts are set to begin their quest in the National Women’s Hockey League (NWHL) for the Isobel Cup.

The NWHL is the top professional women’s league in the world and has six teams. They will play out of a secure bubble in Lake Placid, New York, with each team playing seven games before the top four teams advance to the semi-finals. The season and playoffs will run from January 23rd-February 5th. Click here for the full schedule.

Autumn was drafted by Buffalo in the 3rd round, 14th overall in the spring of 2020 and will be making her debut on Saturday at 7pm EST. She is our first ever alum drafted to the NWHL.

Autumn played a prominent role at CIHA for three seasons before moving on to the University of Alberta. For more on Autumn’s journey from CIHA to the NWHL, click here.

All games will be streamed on Twitch at nwhl.tv/twitch, with the semi-finals and finals being broadcasted on NBSCN.
