Weekly Wrap-Up - Week 6

The weekly wrap-up summarizes each game over the past week and looks ahead to future games.
October 4th
Midget AA (0)
Nepean (2)
After a tough loss a couple of nights ago against Nepean, the boys bounced back and had a much better showing despite falling 2-0.
October 5th
Midget White (1)
Brockville (7)
Tied after the 1st period, things went off the rails as Brockville scored 6 goals in the 2nd and ran away with this one. Alexey Mikhaylov scored his team’s lone goal.
Midget Green (7)
Carleton Place (0)
Midget Green dominated from start to finish in this one and ended up outshooting Carleton place 41-18. The offense was spread out in this one as 10 players had atleast a point, while Viktor Tiatinkin notched his league-leading 3rd shutout of the season.
Bantam (2)
Ottawa Valley (3)
A late goal by Yanik Major brought his team within one but they wouldn’t be able to get the tying goal late in the 3rd period. Matthew Lee had his team’s other goal as the boys played well but just fell short.
October 6th
Bantam (4)
OHA (7)
Another high-scoring affair between these two except it was the Bantam’s turn to take the loss. Goals were scored by Brian Chun, Monty Tucker, Timur Kadriov, and Matthew Lee who also added 2 assists.

Midget White (1)
Carleton Place (3)
Andrei Svalov scored his team’s lone goal despite them firing 30 shots on goal. Francis Plant played well in goal, allowing 2 goals on 30 shots as Carleton Place added an empty netter.
Midget Green (2)
Kanata (3)
Midget Green just fell short in this one as they couldn’t score the tying goal in the 3rd period. Slava Melikov and Nic Pigeon scored their team’s goals while Rylan Donovan stopped 18 shots in the loss.
Midget AA (1)
Cumberland (4)
Jeremy Vallieres scored his team’s lone goal as the AA’s fell a bit short in this one. Landry Laird was in goal for the loss.
October 8th
Bantam (4)
Upper Canada (1)
Upper Canada would get on the board first but the Bantam’s took over from there, scoring two goals in the 2nd and 3rd periods. Dylan Reynolds and Matthew Lee each had 3 points to lead the way while goaltender Alex Cloutier picked up his team’s first win of the season.
Midget AA (1)
Kanata (4)
Danil Sayamov got his team on the board first but that would be all the offense that the AA’s could find. A 3 minute span in the 3rd period conceded 3 goals against that would seal the deal.
