September 20th-22nd

Prep Tournament – Boston, Massachusetts
On the morning of September 19th, the Prep boys boarded their bus and headed for Boston, knowing just 24 hours later they would be the first ever group to hit the ice as the Prep team in CIHA’s 9 year history! An exciting and proud moment for all of those involved.
The moment would finally arrive when the boys took to the ice for a 1:30pm puck drop against the Long Island Royals on Friday, September 20th. While a strong effort, the boys would fall 6-3. Saturday would bring a pair of games. First up was the New Hampshire Jr Monarchs at 11:00am where the boys were a bit overmatched and fell 8-1. Then came the Cyclones at 5:40pm, a much better effort but they just fell short 3-2. They would finish their tournament on Sunday morning at 7:30am, however, they would get shutout 5-0 by the New Jersey Colonials.
Despite the losses, this was no doubt an enjoyable experience for the players and coaching staff. The team had a bit of downtime and explored Boston while also celebrating Nicolas Odermatt and Athletic Therapist Marie-Pierre’s birthday over the weekend.
You can bet that these boys will come back to Boston hungrier and more determined for the Beantown Classic in October!
