September 6th-7th
Bantam Tournament – Ottawa
After a week and a half of practice, the Bantam’s were eager to hit the ice for some game action! They would board the bus on Friday afternoon as they began a weekend tournament in Ottawa.
Friday came and went with two games and two close losses. They fell 7-4 to the Oshawa Generals and 3-1 to the North Bay Trappers. Saturday began with a thrilling last minute tying goal by Teito Ishigaki for a 3-3 final against league rivals Ottawa Valley Titans. The boys would face the Central Ontario Wolves in a must win game but would come up short, falling 2-0.
While they didn’t bring home any hardware, Coach Ryan was very proud of his team’s effort over the weekend and believed they could’ve won any of the games with a bounce or two their way. This is a great group of guys and we look forward to cheering them on the rest of the season.
