Down 3-2 late in the 3rd period, Ivan Landyshev (1g,1a) would score a late powerplay goal to tie the game up. Ilnar Fakhrutdinov (1g, 1a) and Alex Simard (1g) also contributed on the scoresheet, while Alex Smedley made 20 stops in goal.
The Bantam’s ended 2018 on a high note with this one never in doubt. Goals were scored by Justin Cloutier, Mathieu Fehr and Callum Field, while Brian Chun chipped in with 2 assists. Jackson Parsons was strong in goal getting the win.
Midget White snaps a 3 game losing streak in a big way and finish 2018 strong. They scored on the first shift of the game and added two more in the 1st, and scored another 3 in the 3rd period to put the game out of reach. Edward Bradley (1g, 3a), Thomas Odermatt (1g, 2a), Andrey Svalov (2a), and Patrick Maule (2a) all had multi-point efforts while Nicolas Odermatt and Nolan Bull also scored. Michael Lenhart was strong in goal making 30 saves.
Winless in their first two games against Cornwall, Midget Green broke through and ended that streak. Ilnar Fakhrutdinov led the way with 3 goals with Jack Sountis and Brendan Boyce scoring the other two. Nikita Tiatinkin had 2 assists while his brother Viktor was peppered with 37 shots but kept his team in it.
For the second time in 3 games, Midget AA faced the 1st place Ottawa Sting with a similar result. Those guys are 1st placed for a reason, but the boys gave them all they had. Darius Mamianskum scored both goals in the loss.
