Residence

Students at CIH Academy will have the opportunity to develop leadership skills and personal growth through the education of community living. Living away from home in a boarding school environment will prepare students for the transition to adulthood, while maintaining a secure and well-supervised environment in which to grow.

Students will be housed two per room according to gender and grade, and will share a washroom with two other colleagues. Each brand-new student residence will include a common area equipped with an entertainment room, a kitchenette, and storage space.

Our students are encouraged to personalize their rooms with their own appropriate posters, photos and memorabilia to make their rooms as comfortable and home-like as possible.

House Parents

It is important for our students to have access to parent-like advisors while living in a comfortable, secure environment. Each student residence will therefore be supervised by a "House Parent" who lives in the dormitory among the students. Students will be able to look to their House Parent when they have a problem, need advice, or simply want to say hi. The House Parent will be supported by select senior students who have demonstrated leadership and responsibility. Having in-house supervision will provide a "home away from home" atmosphere for our students which will make boarding school feel as comfortable and home-like as possible, while providing a safe and controlled environment in which to grow.
