Competition
Students at CIH Academy will compete against AAA and AA teams from the Ottawa District Minor Hockey Association (ODMHA), providing a high level of competition that allows students to utilize the skills they learn in daily practices and on- and off-ice training.
Students will also have the opportunity to participate in competitive tournaments to maximize their exposure to elite levels of competitive hockey.
CIH Academy teams will play a regular-season 30-game league schedule against the best teams in Eastern Ontario. They will also compete in top-level tournaments such as the Hull Kiwanis Midget Tournament and the Toronto Bantam Showcase, giving them exposure to College and Major Junior recruiters. In total, all teams will play approximately 55 games per year, which will allow them to experience the rigours of a top-level season while still allowing adequate time for academic studies.
Eastern Ontario is known for its love of hockey and its multitude of teams, players and hockey opportunities. CIH Academy students will be surrounded by top level hockey, which will allow students to learn and improve in a challenging, competitive environment.
