Faculty

CIH Academy faculty share the same goals as the academy founder: to promote a balanced boarding prep school education with academics and hockey at the core.

CIH Academy is a campus of the Upper Canada District School Board. This means our faculty, who are fully qualified and certified under the Ontario Ministry of Education and the UCDSB, teach on CIH Academy's campus in our state-of-the-art classrooms. Our teachers monitor student progress through fully-accredited courses required to achieve the Ontario Secondary School Diploma. The small class sizes allow teachers to give students the quality one-on-one attention they deserve, while the tailored curriculum maximizes the amount of time students spend learning and playing hockey.

CIH Academy's principal, Mr. Frank Hummell, oversees the Independent Learning Module program at CIH Academy, ensuring that our students meet and exceed the standards of the Upper Canada District School Board and the Ontario Ministry of Education. The demanding program will teach self-discipline and dedication, while preparing your student for postsecondary studies at college or university.
