Welcome to CIH Academy

The Canadian International Hockey Academy is a private hockey boarding school that will provide students with a tailored educational, hockey and living environment to help them succeed in school, in hockey, and in life.

Located 30 minutes outside of Ottawa, the Canadian International Hockey Academy is Eastern Canada's premier hockey prep school, with the pro-style facilities, faculty and educational program to deliver a premier hockey education to our students. As a co-educational prep school recruiting top hockey students in grades 9 to 12 from around the world, CIH Academy will be a uniquely rich and diversified experience for all who attend.

CIH Academy is the only not-for-profit co-ed hockey prep school campus in Canada that offers both a unique partnership with a public school board and an officially sanctioned program through Hockey Canada. Students at CIH Academy will attend classes on campus taught by fully-accredited teachers from the Upper Canada District School Board, using a tailored Independent Learning Module system that will allow each student to excel. Our commitment is to keep CIH Academy small and focused to provide all students with the support and attention they deserve with our student body capped at 200.

CIH Academy's relationship with Hockey Canada means that students will have access to our Hockey Canada-certified coaches and the benefit of the best elite hockey training and experience possible. Students will have exposure to Junior, Major Junior, University, and NHL levels of hockey. CIH Academy is also a member of the competitive leagues of the Ottawa District Minor Hockey Association (ODMHA) and our teams will compete at the AAA and AA levels.

All campus facilities such as the Athletics and Events Centre (Arena), Student Residences, and outdoor sporting amenities will be newly-built and state-of-the-art. A Canadian International Hockey Academy prep school education will maximize your potential-in hockey, in school, and in life!
